Political Debates

My government teacher recently assigned a debate research assignment so that we can debate a policy of one of the Presidential candidates. I noted that the first Presidential Debate was about foreign policy, which just happens to be my topic for the Debate at school. I am debating Kerry's foreign policy not as if I was Kerry, but as a supporter. I'd like some information regarding what I should use as some of my information. I have pulled the entire transcript of the debate. I'm going to sift through the transcript in order to understand the general policy of John Kerry. If you have any suggestions for debate arguements and rebuttals to Bush arguements, feel free to post them in a comment. Thanks for your help.


UPDATE:

I won my debate for my government and economics class. The turnout was about 80 people, which is pretty large for a school like ICS. The votes for this topic are below:

Kerry (Sawyer) - 40
Bush (Peter) - 34

That comes to a six vote victory. Hopefully Kerry will win with a greater margin that I did. Thanks to everyone who sent me e-mails or posted comments.

The All Spin Zone

Recently, I received an e-mail from my brother Forrest who runs American Bodhisattva. He mentioned that a large political blog had made some comments on a great deal of work that Forrest did for his blog. Forrest had retrieved the results of a huge number of poles regarding who people thought won the debates on foreign policy. The task was obviously painstakingly completed over a large period of time.
